A family-owned estate
for 13 generations

Château du Moulin Rouge is located in the commune of Cussac-Fort-Médoc (Gironde). It has belonged to our family for 13 generations and is now a well-reputed Cru Bourgeois Superieur in the Haut-Médoc appellation. Sandwiched between the famous Margaux and Saint Julien appellations, the château benefits from an outstanding terroir. In fact, many trade professionals and knowledgeable wine lovers compare the wines of Château du Moulin Rouge with those of Saint-Julien.

Environmentally-friendly winegrowing

This estate has 27 hectares of vines.
An average 45 years old, the vines are grown traditionally. This entails working the soil, leaf thinning, and hand picking.

The new generation considers it a major priority to make wine responsibly, which is why they obtained level 3 HEV (High Environmental Value) certification.

On the famous Route des Châteaux

Our estate is open all year round or visits by individuals and groups. All nationalities are welcome.

It is always a pleasure to show people around our cellars and to offer a tasting of several different vintages.
